Born an artist in Detroit, Michigan in 1962,
Dawn Duane is self-taught. She did eventually
take some classes when she got older. She has
lived in Montana for more than 26 years,
enjoying art and teaching art to children in her
community. Dawn owns a successful business
“Everyday Art”, that sells hand painted designer
brooms all across the US.
Her work has been featured in numerous magazines
and newspapers including Artist Magazine,
Montana Living, Montana Woman, and the book
“Tudor Style”. She also designed and patented
the first Tooth Fairy coin that is redeemable at
banks, and she loves to paint with watercolors.
Each year she paints a number of commissioned
watercolor portraits of dogs.
This past year she has changed and is trying out
new subject matter and showing some of her
photography. She will be completing here newest
project, The 2009 I Hate Barbie Calendar ,
that will be available for sale in June of 2008.
